Took some time out of my Sunday to hang out at the Model Mayhem Meet and Greet in Patapsco State Park. I had tons of fun and took a lot of pictures. Model work is something I really need to work on more but I used this session to stretch what I can do within my work flow in Lightroom 2. I wanted to stay away from using Photoshop because it drastically slows down my photo processing.
Besides all the of the High School graduations at Towson State we also had some shooting going on around campus. Here are some BTS shots. Tons of fun and a little physical contact sports.
“Tides”
Shot on location in Annapolis, MD, we covered a few scenes from this feature length. It is in the process of looking for funding. I worked with stratatesktudios.com as a Unit Photographer and got these great shots.

I do ask that you are in the Baltimore Metro or surrounding area. Travel costs may apply.
I shall begin with the fun stuff. I attended the International Pillow Fight Day http://www.pillowfightday.com/about.php for the first time in my life. Let me just say this. It was the most fun I have ever had in DC. I never would have expected so many people and smiling faces. I would guess there were at least (broad range, i was taking pictures, so I didn’t see the whole crowd that much) a hundred people IN the pillow fight at each location. The first one took place on the Mall outside the Smithsonian Castle. The second took place at DuPont Circle for those familiar with the area.
I also tried to cut my teeth on something new for me, as if a giant pillow fight wasn’t enough. I wanted to work on my architecture photography. A good chunk of my work can be look at as a portrait. I work well with people, especially on movie sets and musicians. I learned two things in this endeavor. The first being, you better pray to the photog gods that your sensor is clean. (mine was not, resolving that issue this week) and 2, you need a LOT of patients when dealing with thousands of tourist. I was however, able to snap a decent shot when I got off the red line of the metro before security saw me. One of the main reasons I went wandering in DC (besides the pillow fight) was to see one of the memorials that I had not visited yet, the Korean War Memorial. I guess I felt a little obligated to check it out. Oh, and there was something about the Cherry Blossoms that the tourist were raving about… its just a tree! Yea, it was cherry blossom festival weekend.
